Monthly Missions: September
Each month we focus on practical ways to share the love of God with others in practical ways to both a local and a global population. If you desire to support or contribute to one of the monthly missions, click the “Donate” tab and as you follow the prompts you’ll be able to designate your gift to a particular monthly mission.

This September LBI Churches will be hosting families from Family Promise that are experiencing homelessness at the Terrace Church campus for a two-week stay. We invite you to support these families by donating grocery gift cards that cover the purchase of their dinners.
Contact Elise Heubach (eliseheubach@comcast.net) for more information on items that may be needed like water, coffee, etc. and if you would like to lend a hand with the setup of the rooms for their sleeping and dining.
Thank you for your consideration and help with this important outreach program.

We will be collecting new socks during the month of September (and beyond). LBI Churches is partnering with the Kiwanis Club of LBI, who has successfully collected and distributed over 100,000 pairs of new socks to those in need. The collected socks will support veterans, active military, homeless individuals, children in need, and victims of domestic abuse and natural disasters. Monetary donations are also accepted, with checks made payable to LBI UM Churches with Sock Drive in the memo line. Thank you in advance for supporting our Happy Feet Sock Drive! Bring your donations to church services at the bay, and/or the Kynett or Terrace Campuses.
Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, shares the love of Jesus with children around the world. To participate, please pick up, a shoe box, available at all worship services and at both church campuses. Ideas for filling with items such as small toys, school supplies and some hygiene items are inside each box along with a label. Please return the filled boxes to either church campus by November 8. The filled shoeboxes will be delivered to a child, somewhere around the world, who may be receiving their first introduction to the love of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This can be an enjoyable activity for parents and grandparents to do with children.
If you are able, Samaritan’s Purse is asking for an additional $10 donation for the cost of shipping for each box (please make the checks payable to LBI UM Churches and place it in the box and we will send one check to Samaritan Purse for the shipping). If you choose not to fill a shoebox, cash donations are welcomed also. Please make donations payable to LBI UM Churches with Christmas Child on the memo line.
