Monthly Missions: November

Each month we focus on practical ways to share the love of God with others in practical ways to both a local and a global population. If you desire to support or contribute to one of the monthly missions, click the “Donate” tab and as you follow the prompts you’ll be able to designate your gift to a particular monthly mission.

The Salvation Army stands as one of the largest social service organizations in the United States. With a steadfast commitment to supporting neighbors who require assistance. The Salvation Army operates in every zip code across the nation. Since its founding in 1865, the organization has provided essential services to meet human needs, upholding a principle of non-discrimination in all its efforts.

One of the most recognizable initiatives is the annual Red Kettle Campaign, a hallmark of The Salvation Army’s outreach. Beyond this well-known campaign, the organization offers a wide range of programs designed to address the unique needs of local communities, all with the goal of supporting individuals and families facing hardship.

Every contribution to The Salvation Army has a significant effect. Donations help individuals and families overcome challenges such as food insecurity, sudden job loss, and housing instability. By supporting The Salvation Army, you can bring hope and joy to neighbors in need, making a meaningful difference in their lives.

The Kiwanis of LBI is once again collecting new socks from June 30 – December 3. This is their 10th year of collecting and donating these socks to the homeless, veterans, abused women, children, active military, various charities, natural disaster sites or wherever they see a need for a new pair of socks. This heartfelt
mission on behalf of the Kiwanis to provide socks for those less fortunate helps give a person dignity, warmth, and helps prevent bacteria and foot ailments. You may drop off socks at either church campus or at any worship service.
