One of the most recognizable initiatives is the annual Red Kettle Campaign, a hallmark of The Salvation Army’s outreach. The Salvation Army’s holiday assistance programs provide food, gifts, and other essential items to those in need during the holiday season. Through initiatives like toy drives, meal distribution, and the Angel Tree program, The Salvation Army aims to ensure everyone gets to experience the joy of the holidays.

Beyond this well-known holiday campaign, the organization offers a wide range of programs designed to address the unique needs of local communities, all with the goal of supporting individuals and families facing hardship.

IHSS is a coalition of faith communities, social service, and health care organizations that provides support to those living at home who are vulnerable because of age or disability.  Their dedicated staff and volunteers seek to put God’s love into action by promoting wellness and independence and alleviating loneliness for members of our community in need.  

Interfaith Health & Support Services offers the following services, free of charge, to our registered care receivers In Southern Ocean County:

-Transportation to and from Medical Appointments
-Grocery Shopping or Food Pantry Delivery
-Friendly Visiting
-Respite Care & Support for those caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or Dementia
-Library program – Transportation provided weekly to Ocean County Libraries for lunch & activities
-Ken’s Kitchen – Transportation provided weekly to Saint Mary of the Pines Parish Center for lunch & socialization
-Reassurance Calls
